We were asked to develop a website for an Australian
non-profit organisation related to global warming and
vegetarian life style. Their goal was to create a fresh, appealing,
design that visually supported their strengths and mission.
The website uses color,
images and layout the customer fully provided in a way
that strikes a familiar chord with their members.
The end result
is clean and sophisticated.
Because the pages
are text heavy, we kept the layout simple, using blocks
to give order and structure to the site.
We also focused on simplicity and
flexibility, making it easy to use for both the viewer
and staff maintaining the website.
The website uses an advanced Content Management System (CMS)
that allows the client to easily add new pages that automatically conform to the design. Therefore, editorial
content and images can easily be added and updated without
requiring any web design skills nor costly technical support.
We also added a password protected "Members Area" that allows
the users to provide articles and a fully integrated forum where users can
discuss topics related to global warming.
The web site has received much praise. More importantly, however,
it is made usable and relevant to members and other visitors.
